Lovers'Bridge:This wooden bridge spanning the creek is a popular spot for couples to stroll and take photos.The flowing water beneath the bridge and the gentle breeze on the bridge create a romantic atmosphere.

Yunshuiyao boasts the largest ancient banyan tree grove in Fujian,with 13 ancient banyan trees over a century old standing along the stream,each a living history book:
Millennial Banyan King:One of the largest banyan trees discovered in China,its canopy covers an area of1933 square meters,with branches over 30 meters long,requiring more than 10 adults to encircle it.The area under the tree is a favorite spot for villagers and tourists to cool off and drink tea.Enjoy a pot of local Tulou-style tea,listen to the babbling brook,and steal a moment of peace.
Couple Banyan Trees:Two ancient banyan trees near the waterwheel,named for their resemblance to a couple embracing,have become Yunshuiyao's most iconic photography spot.

The golden hour for portrait photography is between 4-6 pm when the sunlight filters through the aerial roots of the banyan trees,casting dappled shadows on the ancient path.
A Long and Winding Path:Cobblestones Polished by Time
Yunshuiyao Ancient Plank Road:This ancient path,stretching over 10 kilometers,is entirely paved with cobblestones.It was the official road connecting Changting and Zhangzhou in ancient times.Centuries of wind and rain have polished the stones to a smooth,gleaming shine.Strolling along it,you hear the murmur of the stream,feel the canopy of ancient banyan trees overhead,and hear the echoes of history beneath your feet;every step is a journey through time.
Tip:The ancient path is mostly cobblestones,so be sure to wear comfortable flat shoes.
Humanistic Ingenuity–Architectural Miracles on Rammed Earth Walls
The buildings here are not cold,lifeless relics,but rather the wisdom of the Hakka people's"clan-based living"lifestyle.
Hegui Building(The First Wonder Building Under Heaven):The"treasure of Yunshuiyao."This five-story square building,built in the tenth year of the Yongzheng Emperor's reign(1732),is most remarkable for being constructed on 3,000 square meters of marshland!The Jian clan used over 200 pine logs driven into the swamp as stakes,managing to build this 21.5-meter-high"tallest earthen building"on the muddy ground.Inside,a jump in the courtyard can clearly feel the ground tremble slightly,as if the entire building is"dancing."Descendants of the Jian clan still live inside,creating a strong sense of community.
Huaiyuan Building(Earthen Building Princess):Unlike the"uniqueness"of Hegui Building,Huaiyuan Building is renowned for its"exquisite craftsmanship."Built in 1905(the 31st year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign),this double-ringed circular earthen building is the best-preserved and most exquisitely crafted round earthen building in Fujian.The core,"Si Shi Shi,"served as both an ancestral hall and a private school.Its carved beams,painted rafters,and couplets showcase the Hakka people's cultural tradition of"passing down farming and scholarship."The building employs a"sloping wall construction"technique,resulting in a gracefully tapering exterior,hailed by experts as the"most beautiful round earthen building."
A New Experience of Revitalized Tulou:Today,Tulou are more than just historical relics for visitors.At Zhongxinglou,tourists can climb to the rooftop for panoramic views;in Tulou converted into museums,they can enjoy Minnan puppet shows;and some Tulou have even been transformed into guesthouses and cafes,allowing visitors to experience the unique feeling of"living within a World Heritage site."
Photography Tips:
The best panoramic spot is by the rice paddies outside Huaiyuanlou,capturing the round building alongside the pastoral scenery;the best vantage point for Heguilou is by the pond outside,where you can capture the reflection of the square building;the ancient banyan tree provides a natural studio for portrait photography,so it's recommended to wear red or white clothing to contrast with the green shade;6-7 am is the golden time to photograph the Tulou when it's deserted,before tour groups arrive.
