What’s the most “mind-blowing” artifact at Sanxingdui?
I want to know which one I shouldn’t miss, even if I’m short on time.

The "bronze sacred tree" (青铜神树, qīngtóng shénshù) is unmissable. At 3.96m tall (13ft), it's the largest ancient bronze artifact ever found in China. It has 9 branches, each with a bird (likely representing the sun), a coiled dragon at its base, and a phoenix at the top. Its symbolism—connecting heaven, earth, and the underworld—feels almost otherworldly. Stand next to it, and you’ll feel tiny—it’s shocking to think they built this 3,000 years ago.
