Geological Wonderland - A Masterpiece of the Wei River Basin
The formation of Mount Li is a grand geological epic. It is a component of the Wei River Basin and an isolated fault block mountain formed during the Himalayan orogeny when the northern foothills of the Qinling Mountains were continuously active, leading to the uplift of the block. The mountain is mainly composed of ancient gneiss and granite, with steep slopes and intersecting ravines. The unique geological structure not only shapes its beautiful outline, but also nurtures the renowned hot spring resources, laying a natural foundation for the later royal family to build a palace garden here.

Historical layering - the memory layer of three thousand year dynasties
The historical role of Lishan has been constantly superimposed with the change of dynasties, and each layer has profoundly influenced the direction of Chinese history.
Romantic Tragedy of the Western Zhou Dynasty: Legend has it that King You of Zhou smiled at his beloved concubine Bao Si and caused chaos among the feudal lords, resulting in a breach of trust and ultimately the downfall of the country, painting the first legendary color on Mount Li.
Qin Han Sui Tang Royal Amusement Park: Qin Shi Huang built the "Lishan Tang" here to treat illnesses, and Emperor Wu of Han expanded the palace, reaching its peak in the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, built the "Tangquan Palace", and Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, Li Longji, expanded it into the grand Huaqing Palace, becoming the main stage for the love story with Yang Guifei, and also making the legend of "bathing in the Huaqing Pool in the cold of spring" pass down through the ages.
A turning point in modern history: In 1936, the Xi'an Incident broke out in Lishan, and the "Bingjian Pavilion" (formerly known as the "Capturing Jiang Pavilion") where Chiang Kai shek once hid became an important witness to modern Chinese history.

Natural Creation - The First Dynamic of the Eight Scenic Spots in Guanzhong
The natural beauty of Mount Li is unique in the Guanzhong Plain, especially known for its ever-changing light and shadow.
Lishan Evening Glow: This is the most stunning scenery among the "Eight Scenic Spots of Guanzhong". After every rain, the sky clears, the sun sets, and the clouds fill the sky. The entire Lishan Mountain is coated with a layer of golden red light, and every layer of forest is dyed, with pavilions and towers as if in a painting. The best viewing spot is near the Old Mother's Hall or on the beacon tower in Xixiu Ridge. Autumn is the best season, with high sky and light clouds, and the most brilliant colors.
Hot Spring Chanting: Lishan Hot Spring is its soul. The spring water comes from the fault zone in front of the mountain, with a constant temperature of 43 ℃ throughout the year and rich in various minerals. It has been used by the royal family since ancient times. Spring water gushes out from the rocks, and the mist evaporates, blending seamlessly with the scenery of the mountains and forests. It is the source of experiencing the artistic conception of "hot spring water sliding and washing grease".
Green mountains and forests: Lishan has dense vegetation and considerable forest coverage, making it a natural oxygen bar. Walking along the hiking trail, you can enjoy the verdant ancient cypress and listen to the waves of pine trees. At the turn of spring and summer, the mountain flowers are in full bloom; In late autumn, the mountains are covered in red leaves, and hiking among them is refreshing and pleasant.

Humanistic craftsmanship - historical imprints scattered throughout the mountains
The cultural landscape of Lishan is like a historical book engraved on the mountain, with stories at every step.
Beacon Tower: Located at the highest point of Xixiu Ridge, it is said to be the original site where King You of Zhou raised beacon fires to play with the feudal lords. Climbing to this place not only allows you to reminisce about the past and marvel at the rise and fall, but also provides an excellent vantage point for overlooking the panoramic view of Lintong and the Wei River Plain.
Laomu Hall: Built in memory of the founder of the Chinese nation, the N ü wa clan. Legend has it that N ü wa once "refined stones to repair the sky" here, and the temple was filled with incense, making it an important place for folk beliefs. The architectural complex is quaint and solemn, hidden among the green trees.
Bingjian Pavilion: Located halfway up Mount Li, it is a historical landmark of the Xi'an Incident. A giant rock and a pavilion solidified the winter morning of 1936, which changed the fate of China, and have important patriotic educational significance.
San Yuan Cave and Yu Xian Bridge: Taoist temples, caves, and stone bridges scattered in the mountains, carrying rich Taoist culture and folk legends, adding a fun of exploring hidden places to hiking trips.

Photography tips:
To take the "Lishan Evening Photo", it is necessary to check the sunset time in advance and take the photo between half an hour before sunset and half an hour after sunset to capture the golden and blue moments;
The beacon tower is a camera position for capturing panoramic views, which can include the panoramic view of the Huaqing Palace and distant cities;
The Bingjian Pavilion is suitable for shooting close-up shots with a sense of historical vicissitudes, using stone walls and iron ropes to compose the composition;
The palaces, pavilions, and hot spring pools in the Huaqing Palace are suitable for capturing the details of Tang style architecture. Professional photography is prohibited during the nighttime performance of 'Song of Everlasting Regret', but the stage lighting is extremely stunning.

Best travel time
The scenery of Mount Li varies throughout the four seasons, but spring and autumn (especially autumn) are the golden time for sightseeing and photography.
Spring and Autumn Golden Season (March May, September November): Mild climate and pleasant mountain scenery. Spring is the season with blooming mountain flowers, and autumn is the season with the highest success rate for enjoying the "Lishan Evening Glow".
Summer Summer Vacation Season (June August): Mountainous areas are cooler than urban areas, but still hotter during the midday period. Suitable for climbing in the morning or evening, and enjoying the performance of 'Song of Everlasting Regret' at night feels comfortable.
Winter quiet season (December February): There are relatively few tourists, and if you encounter snow, the silver coated Lishan Mountain has a unique charm. Soaking in hot springs at this time is an excellent experience. Some outdoor hiking trails need to pay attention to anti-skid measures.

Shopping on Nanjing Road in Shanghai was just amazing! It's truly the "First Commercial Street of China", where tradition and modernity blend perfectly. You can find awesome souvenirs and experience the trendy vibes in cool stores. The neon lights at night are just spectacular, shining bright like Times Square in New York. The food here is incredible too. I had a feast for my taste buds. Shanghai, I'll definitely be back!

Our 2-day Zhangjiajie tour was beyond spectacular! As someone who’s visited Beijing and Shanghai for work, this trip revealed China’s wild, magical heart. Day 1 in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park felt like stepping onto Pandora—I’m a huge Avatar fan, and Yuanjiajie’s floating peaks left me breathless. The misty pillars and lush valleys like pure movie magic! Then came Fenghuang Ancient Town, we eat dinner beside the thundering waterfall. It seems Unreal! The night views of stilt houses glowing over the river were straight from a fairy tale. For fellow Avatar lovers and adventure seekers: Don’t miss this bucket-list experience! 10/10 would return.
